COVID-19 Guidelines


We are so excited to get back into the studio. With that being said, we want to ensure you that we are taking all precautions and adhering to guidelines in order to ensure the safety of our dancers and their families. Due to COVID-19, we are implementing new practices into our routine. We would like to highlight some of the changes that we have made as well as ask for your cooperation in order to keep our dance family safe and healthy. We have created this document to cover all of the necessary changes.


  • We are excited to announce that we have installed the PREMIERone germicidal UV system into both our existing HVAC systems in order to help control bacteria and viruses in the studio.

  • Face masks must be worn inside the studio at all times, ages 3 & up.

  • Class sizes will be limited to follow the COVID guidelines set by the CDC.

  • Parents and siblings will not be allowed to wait in the studio. We do ask parents to walk their dancers to the studio door (please wear a mask when coming to the door). Please understand we love our parents but limiting the number of people in the waiting area will make Just Dancin’ a safer place.

  • Parents must be on time for dismissal because the waiting room will not be available.

  • Everyone who enters the building must have a mask on & sanitize their hands.

  • Dancers need to be on time for class, or they may not be able to take the class due to safety and spacing.

  • The waiting room will only be available to dancers who have breaks in between classes. Dancers will be socially distanced & wearing a mask.

  • If a dancer develops any symptoms or does not feel well after arriving at the studio, we will have them sit in the waiting room, and the office will contact the parent to come and pick them up.

  • If parents need staff assistance, they are encouraged to call the studio during business hours instead of coming into the studio to ask questions.


  • At the end of each night, the floors will be swept & disinfected with a hospital-grade cleaner.

  • All mats will be sanitized at the end of each class.

  • Bathrooms are properly sanitized throughout the day.


  • There are three ways to make payments:

    • Parents can come into the studio. (socially distanced & with a mask on)

    • Parents can give the payment to their child in a sealed envelope with their name as well as what the payment is for (exact change only)

    • Parents can mail in a check or money order.

  • All receipts will be emailed. If the studio office is closed and payment is given to the teacher, a receipt will be emailed within 24 hours. If the receipt has not been received, please contact the office.



  • Dancers need to come to the studio dressed and ready for class. The waiting room and changing room will not be available. Dancers will need to put all their belongings in their dance bags, so please come with only what they need for class. We recommend that they bring a pack of tissues with them. We will also have tissues in the studio.

  • Each dancer MUST bring a water bottle to class labeled with their name on it.

  • Dancers ages 7 & older will be dropped off & picked up at the studio door.  This will limit the number of people in the waiting room.

  • Dancers ages 3-6: one parent can come in with them to get them ready for class & wait for them to go into class.

  • Dancers must arrive 5 minutes before class.

  • We encourage all dancers to use the bathroom before coming to the studio, though our bathroom will be available for use.

  • Dancers will come in through the entrance in the parking lot.

  • The temperature of each dancer will be taken with a touchless infrared thermometer. Dancers with temperatures above 99.4 will not be permitted into the studio.

  • When students come into the studio, they will remove their street shoes and put on their dance shoes.

  • They will sanitize their hands and wait for their teacher to take them into class.


  • Class sizes are limited due to the COVID-19 requirements with social distancing applied.

  • Each dance room is sectioned into 6’x6’ dance squares.

  • Each dancer will be assigned a dance square & a cubby to ensure social distancing.

  • All cubbies are sanitized.


  • Dancers will be dismissed according to the room that they are in

    • JD 1 (purple room): will be dismissed from the front entrance.

    • JD 2 (red room): will be dismissed from the main entrance (parking lot)

  • Dancers in multiple classes will remain in the classroom upon dismissal.

  • Upon dismissal, dancers will sanitize their hands.

  • Parents must be outside waiting for their dancer at the end of class. The waiting room will not be open.

  • Parents must come to the door to pick up their dancer.


  • Generally, when a dancer is not feeling well.

  • They tested positive for COVID-19. (We will follow the CDC & Local Health departments guidelines as to when the student can return to class)

  • Must quarantine for 14 days if have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. (Close contact in NJ is defined as being closer than 6 feet for more than 10 minutes)

    • You are experiencing any of the COVID-19 Symptoms. Some symptoms include Fever (100.4 for older dancers and 99.4 for younger dancers), Chills, Loss of taste and smell, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea, Coughing, Shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, Sore throat, Muscle or body aches, Fatigue, etc.

  • They are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.

  • They have traveled to any hot zones or exposed to anyone who has recently traveled.

  • Is under quarantine directed by a healthcare provider due to COVID-19 concerns.


  • We will contact the local health department providing them with all the necessary details and follow their guidance. Also, we will close the studio for the recommended time in order to properly sanitize the entire studio and ensure that everything is clean and safe for our dancers to return.
