DRESS CODE

The dress code plays an intricate part in the discipline of dance. Students should come already dressed to the studio for class. 

GIRLS: Plain black leotard (no skirts attached) & Pink tights (Convertable, stir-up, or footless for classes with no shoes). No rips or runs in tights.

BOYS: Plain white or black t-shirt & black sweatpants or athletic shorts.

  • No Baggy clothes, as they do not allow the teacher to see and correct body placement, which is vital in dancers' training.

  • Hair must be tightly secured in a ponytail or bun and neatly back away from the face.

  • No jewelry is permitted in any class.

  • Appropriate footwear must be worn, as outlined below:


SHOES FOR CLASSES:

  • BALLET: Ballet Slippers (leather or canvas)

  • TAP: Tap Shoes (any style)

  • PRE-DANCE: See Ballet & Tap

  • JAZZ: FootUndeez or no shoes.

  • ACROBATICS: No shoes

  • HIP HOP: Sneakers (to be worn in class only)

  • MODERN: No shoes

  • HAWAIIAN/TAHITIAN: No shoes
